You’re meandering aimlesly through your local park. It’s a cool fall day, and you’re surrounded by trees whose leaves are gently turning colours.  In the distance, you can hear a fountain. The soft bubbling of water is a sound that makes you feel close to home. Then, a slight wind blows and caress’ your left cheek. The call of a morning dove encircles your ears. It is a pleasent sound, one of innocence and purity. You look up. The sun is gracefully making an entrance into the sky. Gold light is glistening on the trees and grass around you. It’s a magical experience. Just then a small maple leaf  floats down an lands on your head. You pick the leaf out of your hair. It’s green but smoothly graduating into a deep red. Just then, you can hear the distant pitter patter of little feet. A few children stop you and give you a big hug. Then, laughing, the two of them run along happily and you feel a few pounds lighter. No seriously, where did that weight go? You check your back pocket. Shit. Thanks to your love of children, you didn’t realize that they stole your wallet. Just then, you hear the little feet again. You turn around, thinking you’ll give them a piece of your mind. You can hear them getting closer and closer. You look up from your empty hands only to see a hoard of dogs galloping wildly towards you. Amazed and bewildered, you don’t have time to get out of the way, so the dogs knock you down. As you’re lying there on the sidewalk, you find yourself looking up at the sky. It’s light blue, but covered with clouds. You don’t know if they’re actually clouds, or if they’re just the “clouds” in your vision from hitting your head too hard on the ground. You try to get up then, but you feel like crap. So, you decide to lay there. In the middle of the sidewalk. By yourself. A few minuets later, people start passing you, and you can feel them looking at you as if you had a third eye. Finally, with a sigh, you decide to get up and walk home. You figure you’re day can’t possibly get any worse. It’s a bit chilly outside now and you forgot to bring a jacket, so you’re stuck with no money, no jacket, and a really low self esteem now that you’ve been undermined by not only children, but dogs too. You’re forced to accept this is a truly crappy day as you finally get home to your apartment. You’re now freezing, alone, broke, and tired from your exhausting day. Finally at your door, you’re rummaging around in your pocket for your key, only to realize that you forgot it. With another sigh, you look up at the door. 208 it reads. Just as you’re studying the door, you see that it’s open slightly. Anticipation building in your gut, you push open the door. Expecting to see some sort of thief or masked murderer there in your living room, you see a bouquet of wilting, white lilies on your counter. Beside your keys. Which you just realized were the spare ones you left under the matt at your door. Puzzled, you approach the bouquet, only to find a note balanced between two of the stems. Thinking that you might have some crazy secret admirer that likes to break into your house, you’re yet again disappointed. Thanks for the deodorant and orange juice; it reads, Signed, Your Neighbourhood homeless guy. Great, you think for the third time today, What else could go wrong? Just as you thought that maybe you shouldn’t of said that, the fire alarm sounds. And what accompanies a fire alarm? Sprinklers, of course. So let’s see, you’re now tired, broke, wet, sore, smelly, aggravated and creeped out all in the same day. What else could go wrong?

Also, Did  you know that in greek mythology, the ferry guy, Charon, is actually pronounced “Karen”? Our mythology pack for class described “Karen” as “an awful sight to see” and “he was filthy dirty, with eyes of fire, a bushy, unkempt beard, and a dirty cloak around his shoulders”. As you can guess, I always call her Charon now (pronounced as spelt).

At AE, I went to buy this really cute outfit, and everything was going great. But then, since I was using two gift cards, the cashier just HAD to go and screw everything up! She pressed cash, after she used my two gift cards. I just though, alright, Void it, then redo the purchase, then it will be okay. Did she do anything? No. She pretty much said that my cards are f*cked for awhile, and that they would be back to normal, with the remaining balance on them, in a few days. Soooo not the case. Anyway, she put the purchase through, then I left. Curious to see what kind of bull was going around, I went into Garage and tried to buy another outfit, and the girl there said that my gift cards wouldn’t have the balance on them (like 34$ remaining). The AE girl didn’t even call! Anyway, the Garage person helped us out, then told us to get the AE girl to call the people. So we did, and when we got to AE and told the girl what’s up, she’s all like; “Oh… THAT’S what I have to do?” like totally serious. I was like, “WHOA, you shouldn’t even have this job”. In the end, everythings good because the AE girl took 2 minutes to call and got it sorted out. Shoutout to the Garage girl, who’s name I forget… but you know who you are! And a deffinate NEGATIVE shoutout (if there’s such thing as one) to the friggin’ AE girl. Everyone else was helpful. Honestly AE people, hire better employees next time. Actually, I DO have something positive to say about AE girl… her outfit was really cute.

I chose to get Ceramic braces on (only on the top though), it cost about $350 more. I don’t really see the point of getting colour elastics on ( haha – i got no-stain glow in the dark ones ) because there are too many things that could go wrong. Like my one friend who once got dark green elastics and it looked like they had crap stuck in their teeth straight through for a month. Also I knew someone who got yellow ones and they made their teeth look like they were rotting. Eww. The best I’ve seen are on my two of my friends. One got hot pink, and the other got light blue. Personally, I think those are the best choices.

Whats bugging me right now is that there are little dots on the brackets (front of teeth) that are like, red, yellow and green or something like that. They’re supposed to wash out when you brush your teeth or even with your saliva but I don’t know yet. They just look weird right now.

All in all… they honestly weren’t really painful at all! (HAHA MARINA – IN YOUR FACE). But the only thing that remotely hurt was when the monstrosity was in my mouth. The tongue depressor thing was digging into my gums. But it really wasn’t that bad.

I think I will probably feel more of it later, but for now it’s pretty good. Alright I’m really hungry for some lunch… so I’m gonna go have a milkshake and read a magazine ’cause I’m OFF FOR THE REST OF THE DAY! (And those are the two best things about getting braces).
